A household meal plan and shared shopping list
One shared meal plan can reduce crossed wires when more than one person cooks or shops. Agree the meals, choose the total portions and share a single checklist.
Start with a household owner
The owner creates a household in My kitchen and shares a single-use invitation code with another member. Each code lasts 24 hours. Both members need shopping list access. Invitations do not send emails automatically.
Plan portions for everyone
The household uses the owner’s latest saved plan. The owner edits meals and sets the total servings for the people eating. Other members can view the shared schedule and check shopping items off together. Individual calorie targets remain separate; shared portions do not change another person’s targets.
Use a shared shopping list
Open the shopping list and choose Household plan. The list combines the owner’s planned ingredients and subtracts the owner’s saved pantry quantities. Checking an ingredient as bought updates the same checklist for all members.
Keep familiar meals in the week
The owner can add personal recipes to empty meal slots. Their ingredients join the shopping list. Joining a household shares those planned meal names and shopping ingredients, while personal diaries, progress records and fitness authorisations stay private.
Check everyone’s needs before cooking
A household plan follows the owner’s recipe preferences. It does not automatically merge every member’s dietary restrictions. Agree ingredients and allergy requirements with the people eating before selecting shared meals.
Print a useful list
The compact shopping view groups items by aisle. Choose Still needed before printing to leave out ingredients you already have or bought. The printed list uses the current filter and search, so clear the search if you want every needed item.
